She was only 19 when she migrated to Australia with her brother Edmond and arrived on the ship "Rajasthan" on 4 November 1862.

Edmond is also in the same list but his name appears on another page. Their brothers Michael, John and Daniel arrived in Australia later on.

Her two sisters Catherine and Margaret along with another brother Peter, did not immigrate to Australia.

Mary married James Doyle on 17 June 1875. I have recorded that she had at least two children - Thomas Byrne Doyle (born 7 February 1877) and Mary Catherine Doyle (born 21 September 1882). Mary died on 16 September 1926 in Brisbane.

She is buried at Dutton Park Cemetery, (South Brisbane) in grave number 138, portion 1A. Also in the same grave is Mary Johanna Doyle who was interred on 29 September 1932. The relationship between these two Marys is not stated.

The website referenced below notes, "Mary married a Hawker and lived in Tambo New South Wales for a number of years. Her Descendants went to Fiji. She arrived in Australia on the 'Rajasthan' in 1862."
